Mechanic Job in San Rafael, California

Mechanic wanted to maintain diesel trucks with air brakes and other equipment for a well established 55 year old company located in beautiful Marin County. This is a part time position, on weekends, evenings, or one day per week. However, we may partner with other companies to provide full time work. Applicant must be neat, organized, self motivated, have own tools, years of truck and equipment mechanical and some computer experience, verifiable references, and be able to maintain our equipment, maintain records via computer, reorder parts, and complete all types of repairs with a heavy emphasis on preventative maintenance. We know evenings and / or weekend's sounds like a tall order, but past employees have enjoyed our supportive family atmosphere and worked with us for many years. This is a part time job, ideal as a 2nd job, or for a retired truck mechanic. Duties include, but not limited to lubrication, air brake and clutch adjustments, cleaning, computerized record keeping, and an emphasis on diagnostic and preventative maintenance. Full time 2 and 3 axel delivery truck driver position is also available. ** 3-5 years of recent diesel truck and equipment mechanic experience is required ** Qualifications: * Marin County Resident is a Plus but will consider relocation assistance. * A "Current" CADL and / or a Class B driver’s license are another Plus. * Verifiable work history and references are an absolute requirement. * Must be clean cut and presentable. Drug and alcohol free * Reliable transportation a Plus, but we may be able to help here too. * Desirable DMV record
