Mechanic Job in Lebanon, Pennsylvania

The Performance group is looking for Diesel Mechanics for a large manufacturer in Lebanon on 2nd and 3rd shift. Long-term, Full-time, temp-to-hire opportunities for the right candidates. Duties: Troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of Class 7 trucks (these are heavy duty trucks and the class goes by the weight of the truck) -- and forklift maintenance - systems include electrical, drive train, brake, engine, hydraulic etc. Identify repairs and performs corrective action. Use internal system for updating repair orders with description and repair procedures. Utilize diagnostic equipment to detect faults and interprets test results. Preference is the individual will have their own tools for working in this role; Would not be driving until hired permanently -- for service calls would ride along with a direct employee for emergency breakdowns. Must be able to lift at least 40 lbs and reach, bend, crawl, or stoop. Shifts: 7am-3pm; 3pm11pm & 11pm-7am (Current need is only for 2nd and 3rd) Pay Rate: Pay range for someone with experience will $15--$20 ; Someone right out of a trade school would be around $13.00 per hour Requirements: Individuals with a good overall mechanical aptitude; Welders with additional mechanical skills have transitioned into diesel mechanics roles. Degree preference is High School diploma or GED as a minimum; trade schooling with automotive or diesel majors with experience in the field is preferred.
