Mechanic Job in Pasco, Washington

Transportation Maintenance Dept. is seeking a a Semi Truck/Trailer Mechanic position. Need a self-starter who can complete job tasks with minimal supervision. This position will perform maintenance and repair on semi trucks, semi tanker trailers, company vehicles, forklifts, skid steer loaders, and boom trucks as needed. This position is shop based, but can be dispatched for mobile repairs. Ability to work overtime and weekends will be available and mandatory during peak season. Starting pay DOE. Duties and Responsibilities • Perform all mechanical and electrical diagnostics to identify issues with all equipment including semi trucks and trailers, bobcat loaders, forklifts, and utility trucks. • Be able to educate drivers about maintenance issues. • Be able to Manage time & equipment independently. • Operate service truck for on road repairs (on call after hours for emergencies) • Perform Preventative Maintenance on all equipment. Qualifications and Requirements • Experience with multiple truck makes and models • Be a team player with good communication skills • Good written skills • High School Diploma or GED • Must have basic hand tools. • Current CDL License Class A a plus, but not required.
