I'm an
Individual
I lost my software job in May to outsourcing (China) and and struggling to pay my rent and bills. My rates vary depending on the job, but are very reasonable. My qualifications: I grew up in stock car racing, rebuilt my first motor at the age of 14 and built my first NASCAR Late Model at the age of 17. I've worked on cars as a hobby or for extra cash for the past 30 years. For a living, I teach companies how to build software with a strong emphasis on Quality - I also put a strong emphasis on Quality with everything else that I do. In just the past couple of months, I have done the following for myself or for friends: -2000 Trans Am (mine) a. Replaced transmission b. Replaced fuel injectors c. Rebuilt rearend d. Installed multiple racing suspension components e. Rebuilt starter f. Replaced knock sensors -1972 El Camino a. Completely rebuilt front suspension (balljoints, bearings/seals, bushings, tie rods, adjusted steering box) b. Rebuilt HEI distributor c. Performed alignment using a rig I designed and built myself d. Rebuilt steering column e. Rebuilt carb -1995 Nissan Maxima a. Rebuilt rear suspension b. Repaired Mass Airflow Sensor c. Replaced oil pump and pan gasket d. Replaced timing chain I take pride in the fact that, with the exception of replacing tires, nobody but myself has ever laid a wrench on any vehicle I've owned, including my 2000 Trans Am, which has been my daily driver for 15 years and has nearly 200,000 miles on it. I also have the ingenuity and tools to fabricate just about any part that I need when in a pinch. I claim I can fix anything, and am seldom proven wrong :)
