Mechanic Job in Maple Valley, Washington

Maple Valley Dump Truck Company has an immediate opening for a Night Shift Heavy Duty Truck Mechanic. We are offering a $500 sign on bonus for this position. Education: High School Diploma or GED Equivalency Experience: Knowledge in repair and maintenance of Kenworth and Mack Dump Trucks Requirements: Good Driving Record, insurable with a "Safety First" attitude; CDL is a plus Mechanical Ability Common Sense and Safety Conscious Willing to work overtime when required Dependable, punctual, with good work ethics Professionalism, strong organizational skills required Excellent communication and people skills needed Must have own reliable transportation & telephone as well as your own tools Be able to pass pre-employment drug test and randoms Duties: Diagnosis, repair and maintenance on a large fleet of Kenworth and Mack, sand and gravel dump trucks. Must have knowledge of all aspects of working with heavy duty Mack-Kenworth Dump Truck and Trailers. Ability to perform a preventative maintenance service, inspecting, identifying and repairing any deficiencies. Ability to make timely repairs to drive train components. Ability to make timely repairs to suspension components, springs, king pins, etc. Ability to diagnose and repair vehicle electrical systems, starters, alternators, lights. Ability to diagnose and repair air brake systems. Ability to diagnose and repair vehicle engine systems, excluding engine overhaul. Accurately document the work performed. The above is not an exhaustive list of the duties, other responsibilities may be assigned. Schedule: Work full time Monday through Friday plus overtime (sometimes including Saturdays) based on company needs. Salary: Hourly Rate is DOE. Positions offer a competitive hourly rate with overtime after 40 hours a week. Full paid Medical, Dental, Vision after 120 days and 401K after 1 year. Start Date: Employer will interview applicants Monday through Friday 8am to 4pm.
