My Name is Kelland Guerin and 6 months ago I separated from the US Navy as a seasoned E-5. I worked mainly as an Aviation Structural Mechanic on two separate aircraft platforms throughout my career. I earned multiple qualifications as well as many awards and accolades associated with military service during my career. I am a hard-working, very dedicated individual. When I am given a task I see it through to the end in the least amount of time possible. I have multiple years as a supervisor for both small jobs and work productions centers. I'm a hard-charger with boundless potential for furthering myself both personally and professionally. Summary- Seasoned Aviation Structural Mechanic with over 6 years in aviation maintenance and related systems working on two different aircraft platforms and being fully qualified on both. My naval career ended in February 2014, I am currently a full-time student at Shoreline Community College and am currently looking for employment with a superior employer. Career Highlights- I was advanced to the next paygrade everytime I was eligible to do so. I received numerous licenses and certifications for quality control and aviation related support equipment. I have received multiple military awards and recognitions over the past few years for my hard work. Most recently I was nominated for the Airframe Mechanic of the year award and received two Navy/Marine Corps Achievement Medals. Experience- Aviation Structural Mechanic VAQ-133 Wizards April 2010 - February 2014 (3 years 10 months) • Whidbey Island Naval Air, Washington During my tenure at Naval Air Station Whidbey Island I was stationed with VAQ-133 "Wizards" while working on the EA-6B Prowler. I worked in the airframes shop for over 3 years as well as my 8 months as the command safety representative. During my tenure I acquired all required as well as extra qualifications, as well as ending up as the shop supervisor responsible for over 15 personnel. Aviation Structural Mechanic United States Navy December 2007 - February 2014 (6 years 2 months) • Oak Harbor, Washington I work on landing gear, flight controls, hydraulic systems, structural maintenance, and metal-smithing. I have over 6 years experience on 2 different aircraft platforms; both the F/A-18 Legacy Hornet and the EA-6B Prowler. Aviation Structural Mechanic VFA-125 Rough Raiders February 2008 - March 2010 (2 years 1 months) • Lemoore Naval Air Station, California While stationed at Naval Air Station Lemoore, California I was stationed with VFA-125 "Rough Raiders". I worked on the F/A-18 A-thru-D as an "airframer".
