Mechanic Job in Sterling, Virginia

Work in a new, dynamic shop with late model vehicles. Heavy duty and medium duty diesel, and some gas work. Perform general maintenance service on a wide range of specialty vehicles. ? Troubleshoot vehicle issues and coordinate repair with the Fleet Manager. ? Follow all safety procedures set out for use of equipment and materials to DOT and company standards. ? Complete work orders in a timely manner when distributed by Fleet Manager ? Maintain cohesive working relationships with other departments of the Company to assure complete customer satisfaction. . REQUIREMENTS ? Must have you own shop tools ? Must be able to use general mechanic's equipment: wheel balancer, tire machine, brake lathe, lifts, and pneumatic equipment. Must be able to pass company insurance requirements to road-test vehicles ? Prefer significant experience working with medium to heavy duty diesel and gas vehicles ? CDL license needed ? Prefer good automotive electrical skills ? Prefer a Certificate of Completion from a mechanical school and willing to supplement with a proven track record. ? Strong communication and analytical skills. ? High energy level and sense of urgency. ? Ability to work independently as well as an effective team member. ?
