We are happy to announce a recent opening for an experienced Mechanical Engineer/Designer with an established and successful engineering firm in the Raleigh-Durham area! We are seeking licensed candidates who have experience in the commercial and/or industrial sector. SPECIFIC ROLE •This individual will be on a variety of projects associated with Facilities Engineering Group. •Design will potentially involve coordination with other internal discipline engineers as well as architects •Position also includes, but is not limited to project management involving the development of project proposals, schedules, and budgets •Individual is expected to develop drawings in accordance with applicable codes and regulations •Individual will also:◦Perform engineering calculations ◦Generate equipment schedules and specifications ◦Prepare and complete specifications •Individual must be determined to achieve client satisfaction with every project by demonstrating consistent, timely, and professional communication with all parties involved both during and following project delivery. •Individual must understand and emphasize the importance of maintaining long-lasting relationships and referrals. •Client is seeking individuals who are motivated to contribute and support overall business development and marketing plans. REQUIREMENTS: •BS in Mechanical Engineering (Preferred) •Active North Carolina Professional Engineer (PE) registration for Engineering role (reciprocity is allowed) •5 years experience in the design of mechanical building systems/infrastructure within the Commercial, Industrial and Manufacturing market sectors mandatory •Specialized knowledge of laboratory, research, and/or other technically sophisticated environments and their requirements (e.g. cGMP) and regulations (e.g. FDA, USDA) is a plus. •Microsoft Office, Revit and AutoCAD Experience
