Mechanic Job in Valley Center, California

We have been residing on some rural land just outside of Valley Center with our two kids and have been asked to vacate by November 9th. Our home (RV) is in need of some mechanical care in order to make this happen and we are reaching out to anyone who might be able to lend their expertise/skills/references. We are very flexible with being available to help and also work on the repairs (I have been involved much in the past with working on it). The camper is an old 1973 GMC Vandura with a Chevy 350 engine. I am suspect of the transmission and carburetor. There is an occasional 'bang' where it feels like the gear slips and the most recent driving was only able to be done in first and second gear. At this point, even simply a diagnosis would be huge help. We are open to payment with money if it is needed, although we also enjoy exploring new economic models of alternative trades and gifting.
