Mechanic Job in Greensboro, North Carolina

MECHANIC: We are looking for immediate hire experienced retired or semi retired mechanics that have worked on and been trained to perform mechanical work on step vans, like that of Federal Express, DHL, UPS, Purolater, Cintas, etc. As we open a new facility in the Greensboro area, your Semi Truck experience will become valuable. Basic trouble shooting and diagnostics is a must. The rest is general "fleet" maintenance. After a couple of weeks you will be trained our PMI inspection. The PMI is the J.O.B. and this will also ensure the safety of every vehicle that leaves any of our facilities. We supply a service bay, and all manufacturer web based knowledge necessary to perform all service that we can do in house. Job knowledge is based on over all knowledge of diesel and gas engines. Basic tools necessary to be brought in by mechanic. Mechanic must present an interactive and respectful personality, as we our guests in other peoples regular place of work. We have International Vt365's, T444e's, and 7.3 naturally aspirated engines. Cummins isb-01, Cummins 6bt, and isb-07. Mercedes Benz 904. In the gas engine category we delve in all GMC engines, 4.3 liter, 4.8 liter, and 6.0 liter. Transmission work is wide spread also, both generations of the Allison along with Spicer and Eaton's. This is all second and third shift night work, Monday through Friday. We support our Military and the door is wide open for retired military. Most work is in Greensboro, However, your ability to travel to places like Fayetteville, Raleigh, Charlotte, etc. is a plus, as this will open up more work. You will be compensated for your drive time and hotel if necessary. After approximately a week of paid training, your 1099 pay will be $25/hr. Once understanding and internally certifying to perform PMI inspections, your pay will increase to $30/hr. In addition, we also have a garage where we perform motor, transmission and axle swaps.
