We perform general service & repair on most makes and models of passenger vehicles, light to medium duty trucks and RV repair & service (drivetrain only) Since our opening in 2008, we have established a strong reputation of quality work and excellent customer service on the Sunshine Coast. We are looking for a talented automotive tech apprentice that likes working with people, wanting a long-term position to grow with our company and has compassion for the trade. JOB TYPE: FULL TIME (Mon to Fri 8:30am - 5pm - no weekends) EXPERIENCE: ideally 3rd Year Apprentice (will consider 2nd year, if experienced) COMPENSATION: $19 - $22 to start (based on skills, experience & certification) plus shop benefit package & textbook allowance offered SKILLS: - strong general mechanical knowledge -ability to diagnose soundly an asset - knowledge of computerized diagnostic equipment ideal - able to work independently & as part of a team - helps create a safe work environment  - possesses a POSITIVE work ethic - able to use common sense & troubleshoot starting with basics - quick to learn automotive computer software - physically able to perform mechanic duties which requires daily lifting - experience on tire machine, balancer and wheel alignment machine beneficial REQUIREMENTS: - currently registered in Automotive Service Technician Course - automotive diagnosing experience an asset - must have a valid driver's license, reliable vehicle and a clean drivers abstract. - must have basic tools & steel-toed work boots - WHMIS cert an asset - positive attitude & passion for the trade a must!
