Mechanic Job in Crestview, Florida

I bought a 1970 VW Beetle that I was told was fully restored ~10 years ago. The car looks immaculate but is currently not running very well. It starts right up, but will stall after an hour or so. Once it shuts itself off it won't start back up until it's sat for a few hours. Not sure if it's a fuel issue or a spark issue. I've looked in the fuel tank and there does appear to be some debris in there, but not sure if that's what's causing the issue. I've been unable to locate a fuel filter so I'm not sure if there is one installed or not. I have taken the fuel pump off when the engine is hot and the metal rod inside appears to still move freely, so I don't believe the fuel pump is the issue.
