Mechanic Job in Lakewood, Colorado
I'm an
Individual
2004 Volvo S60. Tried to replace control arms, ball joints, tie rods, sway bar end links. One side mostly done. Parts are fused together. As if loctite was applied, bolts severely over torqued, and then welded. I've never seen anything like this. MAPP gas didn't help. At all. Had to angle grind tie rod, control arm bolt off. Can't get the axle back in driver side hub. Have not, and will not, touch the other side. I've broken two sockets and a ratchet, and probably some other tools. I don't know, I can't see straight anymore. Blood loss has been surprisingly minimal. I'm in Lakewood. 14th and Wadsworth area. I have the parts. I've done this about a half a dozen times on other Volvos without issue, but I've never experienced anything like this. Not even on Subarus. Oh, one other thing, it's my girlfriends car and she's been in a mood lately. FFS FML.
