Mechanic Job in Louisville, Kentucky

Looking for a trustworthy mechanic to look at my 2003 Toyota Camry. Everyone I talk to tells me something different. I just need to know is it worth fixing and if so who can fix it. It's at a mechanic shop right now but I can get it towed back home. Alternator is good and was getting ready to have fuel pump checked buy was told motor is blown and cost 1950 to fix it. It was running but died while driving. It did start once it was jumped but didn't stay running more then a minute. Oil light came on right before it died but it does have oil in it. I really need to know if it's worth fixing so please if you can offer some good advice or suggestions please do. I'm having to bum a ride to work and I'm a single grand parent stressed to the max.
