Mechanic Job in Hayward, California

I'm an
Individual
Hello, my name is James Macintosh. I live in Spanish Ranch 1 in South Hayward (between Tennyson Rd. & Industrial Blvd.). I can be reached on my cell at 510-634-... anytime. An alternative number would be 510-303-.... I have a 2001 Chrysler Town & Country (Limited) mini van in need of front brakes & a water pump. Your work can be done days or week ends. I would be happy to assist if you want. Car is in my driveway (slight tilt). I have worked in warehouses for many years loading and unloading trucks, picking and stocking products, driving sit-down and stand-up-reach forklifts, UPS and FedEx orders, etc. I was born in Kaiser Hospital in Oakland. I have lived in the East Bay all of my life and love it here in Hayward (even though it's getting pretty expensive). I grew up nearby on Underwood Ave. just off of Harder Rd. where I went to Schafer Park Elementary School and enjoyed sports of all kinds. I took piano lessons from my Grandma MacIntosh and can remember going from a Magnus organ (when I was about 7 - 10) to an old upright piano. In fact, I was told that I was one of the first kids to play non classical music for a recital (Morning Has Broken [Cat Stevens] & Bridge Over Troubled Water [Simon & Garfunkel]) in 1973. I guess that's about as rock 'n' roll as I was allowed to get back then (though I've diversified over the years). I always enjoyed playing baseball and was in the La Vista Little League Majors. I should have been in the Palma Ceia Little League but I guess it slid by. Although I liked and was good at football, my smaller stature at the time made me a bit of a target for bullies on the field so I eventually shied away from team football. I also became good at tennis and frisbee. As a teen I delved into electric guitar, girls and weed. I mostly remember the good times with them all (and friends) rather than the failures, heartbreaks and not liking school anymore. At 25, I met a woman. At 26, we were married. At 27, we were divorced. Oh well, that's life. Just before I was 28, I ran into a woman whom I knew when she was 5 and I was 8. She has always had cerebral palsy and is an absolute joy to be around. She is still the love of my life. After 28 years, we are still together though not married (wow, talk about once bitten! [or maybe because that would change her disability payments and insurance coverage]). With her, I have led a "typical" working life with week ends often driving by and going to the beach or the East Bay hills and an occasional trip to Carmel. Nowadays, relaxing mostly means kicking back watching TV. The long hair and musical know-how have passed, though I feel I have kept myself in reasonable shape (I was toned but never had abs and now I REALLY don't have abs). I did myself OK enough to keep up with the younger ones in the warehouse and ride my mountain bike around to get to work and do errands for the last few months. There's a lot to be said for the exercise even though I've been forced to ride. I admit that the exhausting warehouse work has a lot to do with my being in half-way shape. Here and there, my loving Mother and Sister have helped me (my Father passed when he was 52 in 1994). I really owe a lot to them. Because of them, life has been stable and pleasurable. Don't know if I could say the same without them. It would sure be nice to have a working van and, thanks to you, I will. Thank you for taking the time to read this. I hope to hear from you soon.
