Mechanic Job in Blackstone, Virginia

Primary Function: The Custodial Workers shall have experience: Office cleaning, to include as well as all other areas of the facilities, spray buffing floors, emptying recyclable containers, re-stocking restroom supplies, policing grounds, and cleaning secured areas. • Accurately perform assigned tasks such as cleaning and sanitizing restroom facilities and replenish/stock supplies as needed. • Sweep, vacuum and mop floors. May be required to operate a floor buffer. • Empty, clean and sanitize waste receptacles • Dust and polish furniture, blinds, woodwork, fixtures and equipment, clean desks and other counter tops as needed. • "dusting of high areas" using a ladder. Qualifications of: Must pass drug screening and possess or be able to obtain Government security clearance or be eligible to obtain one. • Understand and follow both written and oral directions. • Be able to read and comply with labels and OSHA safety warnings on cleaning agents and hazardous materials. • Perform strenuous physical activity related to custodial duties such as re-stocking supplies, operating vacuums, sweeping and mopping. • Be able to exercise good judgment in evaluating situations and make sound decisions. • Establish and maintain an effective working relationship with supervisors and other colleagues. • Communicate effectively and respectively with all levels of an organization, tenants and clients. • Some experience in general building maintenance with some basic knowledge of custodial tasks and equipment repair is required. • Must be eligible for a Government Security Clearance is as required for this contract. Physical Effort and Working Conditions: May be required to lift, carry, and set up equipment that weighs up to twenty (20) pounds. Occasionally, may lift and carry items that weigh over fifty (50) pounds. The work is done inside and outside, and could be noisy, dirty, dusty and greasy.
