Mechanic Job in Keyport, New Jersey

G & L Auto Service is seeking a full time technician who is looking for growth opportunities with an independent auto repair business. We are a small, but experienced shop under new ownership looking to modernize the classic neighborhood mechanic while maintaining a focus on honesty. We are looking for someone with automotive experience who is seeking to further develop their skills and possibly take on additional responsibility in the future. Shop hours are currently Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 5:00pm, so having weekends off is a plus. Candidates should have a valid drivers license and be comfortable using technology to diagnose vehicle issues. We are looking to fill this position soon. Pay will be based on experience and certification. We are willing to consider highly motivated entry level technicians, but are really looking to hire an experienced tech. Applicants Should Be Able To: • Communicate and work together with other employees to complete tasks • Road test vehicles to determine issues • Diagnose vehicle issues with efficiency and accuracy • Operate tools and equipment in a safe manner • Use automotive repair software and critical thinking to find solutions • Clearly communicate vehicle issues to the customer in a concise manner • Work independently to solve issues
