Business address: 80 Ube Dr. Sarnia ON, N7W 1B6 Work location: Same as above and various locations throughout Sarnia depending on the customers’ demand Type of Employment: Full Time - Permanent Estimated Start Date: As soon as possible Job Description: • Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions • Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required • Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts • Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications • Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work • Service attachments and working tools • Verify and repair emission control systems, fuel injection system, exhaust system, cooling system , air conditioning system, lubrication system and engine control system • Major internal engine repairs or overhaul • Installation and alignment of engines and machinery • Keep maintenance reports and documentation • Perform repair work on heavy trucks and other vehicles • Occasionally drive to attend to service calls Requirements - Education: Completion of secondary school is required - Experience: A minimum of three years of experience in the trade is required - Experience in mechanical transmissions, hydraulic transmissions and highway vehicle tires and wheels is an asset - Driver’s license is required -Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Attention to detail, Manual dexterity, Hand-eye co-ordination, Standing for extended periods, Bending, crouching, kneeling, Fast-paced environment, Work under pressure, Tight deadlines, Repetitive tasks, Combination of sitting, standing and walking -Personal suitability: Client focus, Judgement, Accurate, Team player, Initiative, Effective interpersonal skills, Organized Major work area: Mechanical transmissions, Hydraulic transmissions, Highway vehicle tires and wheels and Truck repairs Language: English is required Salary: $ 30.75 to $31.75 hourly, 40-45 hours per week Other Information: Must have flexible availability. Work schedule is Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM and occasionally on weekends depending on the business’ needs. On-call work and overtime may be required.
