Mechanic Job in Canoga Park, California

Penta Motorsports, a relatively new company with long-established management, specializing in restorations, performance enhancements and racecar prep, seeks to add to its team —as necessitated by increased business. Current long-term projects include a 1941 Lincoln, 1955 Pontiac, 1958 Chevy Apache, 1963 Lincoln, 1968 Chevelle, 1970 Dodge Challenger, 1973 Porsche 911S, 1974 Porsche RSR and others. The ideal candidate would have the following qualifications: • A strong mechanical background and knowledge of all vehicle systems and ability to service/repair brakes, driveline, engine and accessories. • Experience in restorations; knowing how to disassemble a collector car, preserve and catalog the components, recognize what needs to be replaced, and put everything back together properly. • The ability to interface with engine builders, painters, upholsterers. • Fabricating skills; metal-shaping, welding, machining, finishing. • Experience in performance tuning and operating a chassis dyno. • Road racing background and the ability to set up suspension. • Minimum 5 year experience.
