Business Address: 905 Dillingham Rd Unit 11, Pickering ON L1W 3X1 Work Location: Same as above Type of Employment: Full time – Permanent Estimated Start Date: As soon as possible Job Description Inspect motor in operation, road test motor vehicles and test automotive systems and components Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications Perform scheduled maintenance service Advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements Review work orders and discuss work with supervisor Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions Diagnose faults and malfunctions and confirm findings with supervisor to determine whether to repair or replace unit Repair or replace mechanical units or components Test and adjust units to specifications Complete reports to record problems and work performed Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications Requirements -Education: Completion of secondary school is required. -Experience: The candidate must have the Trade Certification or be eligible to obtain the Trade Certification. A combination of over four years of work experience in the trade and high school, college or industry courses in automotive technology is required to be eligible for trade certification. -Knowledge of current automobile technology is required -Knowledge of computer systems and specialized diagnosis equipment is required -Working Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Hand-eye co-ordination, Attention to detail, Standing for extended periods, Manual dexterity. -Personal suitability: Excellent oral communication, Team player, Judgement, Dependability, Accurate, Flexibility, Client focus, Reliability, Ability to multitask. -Work site environment: Dusty, Confined spaces, Outdoors, Noisy -Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs) -Work Location Information: In shop -Language: English is required Salary: $27.00 – ... hourly, 40– 45 hours per week.
