We are looking for motivated individuals with great technical abilities. In this position, you will be performing preventative maintenance and repairs of all levels on the newest and best-maintained fleet of vehicles in the industry, also inspecting and repairing heavy-duty semi-trucks and other rolling stock. Making repairs in a timely manner You will help our customers keep their vehicles in shape and over the road. Main Responsibilities – Technician I and II: • Making sure vehicles are maintained and safe to drive out • Doing preventive maintenance services on truck and trailer equipment with little or no supervision and in a timely manner • Repairing and troubleshooting major components such as engines, transmissions, and differentials, including replacing complete assemblies, turbochargers, fuel system components, etc. • Maintenance and repair of complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on semi-trucks & trailers and tools while using a high degree of independent judgment • Travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance of customer-owned equipment; must maintain service vehicle in a clean and professional manner • Keeping your work area clean and safe • Using tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics • Maintains sufficient supplies and replacement part inventory levels, documents their utilization, and orders more when necessary • Assists technicians via telephone to troubleshoot equipment issues as needed • Research and learn new skills and techniques when the situation necessitates it • Working on other projects and tasks as assigned by the supervisor • Assist in the training of lower-level technicians as needed • Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or requested General Requirements: • Technical Electrical, Mechanical, Hydraulic, and Diesel Engine Knowledge • 3 years of practical experience with vehicle/heavy-duty truck maintenance required • High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred • Experienced using tools of the trade (including diagnostic equipment, hand tools, and power tools) • Accurate troubleshooting and issue diagnosis • Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job • Willingness to travel as necessary within the district (customers’ yards, close geographical area, and training sites), work the required schedule • Excellent customer service skills and communication skills • Problem Solving / Analysis • Results Focused • Independent Decision Making • Time / Schedule Management • Team goal focused • Supervisory Responsibility • Valid driver’s license required This position does not currently supervise anyone Why TRUCK SHOP INC is for You: • Competitive starting salary • Shift Premium • Career stability • Opportunity for growth • Advanced vehicle maintenance technology • Location and schedule flexibility Work Environment The job operates in our Sharonville, OH shop. This role routinely uses standard repair and powertrain tools and equipment such as wrenches/sockets, air tools, multimeters, oil/filters, welders, tires, rims, and torches. This role will be required to operate heavy-duty semi-trucks and 48’, and 53’ Trailers. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear in English however knowledge of Russian/Uzbek languages is welcomed. The employee regularly is required to sit, squat, kneel, lie down, stand, and walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, and lift up-to 50 lbs. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 6:00 pm. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
