Business Address: 1181 Wolverine Rd, District Lot 3940 Highway 29, Tumbler Ridge, BC, V0C 2W0 Work Location: Peace River Regional District (Northeastern BC) Type of Employment: Full time–Permanent Estimated Start Date: As soon as possible Job duties: • Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions • Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required • Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts • Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications • Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work • Service attachments and working tools • Verify and repair emission control systems • Instruct apprentices • Order parts and maintain inventory • Keep maintenance reports and documentation • Attach components and adjust new equipment • Perform repair work on Heavy Mining trucks, Hydraulic Shovels and Excavators, Large Dozers, Large Blast Hole Drill Rigs, Large Graders, Large Loaders. Requirements -Education: Completion of secondary school is required -Experience: Completion of a three- to five-year apprenticeship program or at least three years of experience is required for the position. Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding Handling heavy loads Salary: $53.50 to $54.50 Hourly, Averaging Agreement based on 4 weeks, working 14 days on-14 days off, 12hrs/day Benefits: Extended medical insurance and dental insurance provided after three months of employment Important information: Overtime is required for this position.
