Mechanic Job in Portland, Oregon

Essential Job Functions: Perform regular maintenance and repairs on: • Fleet trucks and trailers. • Tractors, Dingo, Bobcat, backhoe, stump grinder. • Small engine equipment (mowers 21”- 72”, string trimmers, stick edgers, blowers, aerators, etc.). Development • Create and implement annual maintenance tracking program to ensure equipment is inspected and operating safely and efficiently in a fast pace, maximum use environment. Communication • Effectively communicate with vendors to achieve best pricing, quick turn around, and expand parts / equipment inventory opportunity to contribute to the bottom line. • Effectively communicate with employees and managers to prioritize repairs and schedule, creating a positive environment. Additional Requirements: • Ability to problem solve effectively, creating safe solutions. • Ability to work independently and in small groups in order to achieve company wide solutions. • Ability to effectively train 50 employees.
