Mechanic Job in Grand Prairie, Texas

I am taking applications to hire immediately a general laborer/mechanic for the purpose of assisting in the diagnosis/repair and preventative maintenance of fleet vehicles ranging from Ford F250's to day cab semi trucks. Applicant must have a general knowledge of mechanics for job duties ranging from changing engine oil, fuel filters, air filters, brake pads, shoes, rotors and wheel cylinders. Also may be required to change automotive light bulbs, fuses and wiper blades etc. etc. Applicant should have a basic general knowledge of 12v electrical and must be able to use a 12v test light and electrical meter. Applicant is not required to have their own tools but having them is a plus. Applicant must have reliable transportation and a valid Texas drivers license. Daily duties will take place in a newly built shop with a state of the art compressed air system and lube/fluid dispense system.This is a fairly fast paced environment that requires full attention to detail and must be a team player being that we work as a team to accomplish the tasks at hand in an efficient manner. Overtime is available that pays time and a half for anything over 40 hrs. Our normal hours of operation are Mon - Fri / 6:00am/9:00pm and Sat 6:00am/5:00pm unless otherwise discussed and agreed upon. Each persons schedule is determined and agreed upon on an individual basis. Pay is weekly on Fridays.
