Doug's Power Equipment, a leader in the outdoor power equipment service industry, is looking for a qualified Power Equipment Mechanic to join their growing team. Job Description: The Power Equipment Mechanic reports daily to the Service Manager and is responsible for providing diagnostics, repair, and ongoing maintenance of our clients' outdoor power equipment. While it is important for the Power Equipment Technician to keep up with the work demand, priority is always placed on the quality of service provided. Work hours are Monday thru Friday, 8am to 4:30pm. Job duties are as follows: •Regular Maintenance & Equipment Inspection (oil change, chain/blade sharpening, fluid check, lubrication check, cleaning) •Diagnostics of faulty customer equipment •Identifying parts needed to repair equipment •Estimating amount of labor need for repair •Providing detailed notes of repairs needed to the Service Manager for customer contact •Completing repairs after parts are received •Testing & performing quality inspection to units for satisfactory repair •Providing detailed notes of repairs completed to the Service Manager for customer contact •Maintaining general workspace orderliness and cleanliness •Proper disposal of waste materials in provided containers Job Qualifications: Required: •Minimum of 2 years experience servicing outdoor power equipment •Must provide your own set of basic tools (specialty tools will be provided on-site) •Detail oriented, dependable, willing and able to follow instructions and to work as a team •Must possess basic computer skills (for using shop management software) •Minimum of high school diploma or GED equivalent •Valid MN driver's license and reliable transportation •Able to pass background check Preferred: •Attended service schools for Kohler, Kawasaki, Briggs & Stratton, Toro/Exmark Salary/Benefits: •Compensation is base salary, plus commissions based on tech efficiency. Base salary will depend on applicant's level of experience. •Health Insurance is available after 90 days of service. •Paid vacation available after one year of service.
