Mechanic Job in Calgary, Alberta

Want to get out of the shop basement where you're stuck doing the same thing every day and transition into a full time, year-round job? We are looking for the right candidate to become the Van Manager for our Velofix Mobile Bike Pro Shop in Calgary, AB. It's essential that the right candidate has great customer service and people skills. They must be comfortable working in an unsupervised environment, capable of diagnosing problems, and repairing all types of bikes. The ideal person will have between 3-5 years of full-time bike mechanic experience and is willing to participate in initial and ongoing training if necessary to ensure customer's expectations are not only met but exceeded. Unlike a traditional bricks & mortar bike shop, ours is operated in a custom Mercedes Sprinter van that is fully stocked with all the tools and parts necessary to tune and repair any type of bicycle. This is a fully-empowered environment with tremendous job diversity, including serving individual customers, participating in corporate lunch events, and being part of local races and events on behalf of Velofix Calgary. We are offering a full-time position with the opportunity to move into a senior role as more vans are added in the future. Compensation will be based on experience with competitive pay and performance bonuses and / or profit sharing. The candidate will be required to provide a clean driver's abstract and be comfortable operating a large vehicle in a city environment.
