Mechanic Job in Roseville, Minnesota

Looking for a 1st/2nd shift floor supervisor to not only supervisor technicians but also record paperwork and work with customers. They WILL BE hiring, firing and promoting once they’re trained in the first 30 days. They also will be conducting the following job duties: -Supervising as many as 30 techs – both diesel and trailer technicians -Supervise the shift change – because this is a 1st/2nd shift position, this individual will be supervising the 1st shift techs leaving and the 2nd shift techs coming into their shift -Scheduling work orders and job duties for the techs -Supervisors work directly with the customer, so they are required to answer phone calls and emails in a timely matter, including outside of work at home (this is the main reason why Universal has this as a salary position). There will be some responsibilities on the floor – checking work by technicians and assisting during the busy periods – but the primary function of this job will be supervising technicians and coordinating jobs as they come in. They will be working primarily with customers and be responsible for a lot of the paperwork and responsibilities that come when a tractor or trailer comes in for repair. Must haves: -2 years industry experience as diesel mechanic (will NOT consider auto technicians) -Must be willing to submit to DT/BG -Must own set of hand and air tools - the bigger the set the better. Preferred but not required experience: -CDL -Experience with the following brands: Cat, Cummins, Detroit, International, Allison
