Mechanic Job in Louisville, Kentucky

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Preventative Maintenance (PM) on heavy duty Class 8 diesel trucks including basic tire work, hydraulics to perform hose replacement, suspension and steering system routine maintenance and repair, scheduled drive train, engine maintenance and emissions testing. Perform basic preventive maintenance and repair. Troubleshooting the source of breakdowns using diagnostic methods/tools. Some body work and welding. POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Ideal candidates for the PM Technician openings will have 1 years of experience as a Mechanic working on heavy duty class 8 trucks, in addition to: Safety-mindset with knowledge and experience applying OSHA standards. Basic computer knowledge in MS Excel and Word. Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience with PM/repair on fleet of commercial trucks. Additional relevant ASE Certifications. CDL Class B license. ASE T4 Brakes. ASE T5 Suspension and Steering. ASE T6 Electrical/Electronic. ASE T8 PMI. EDUCATION REQUIREMENT: High School Diploma or GED equivalent Our client has a strong focus on employee development and morale.
