Mechanic in Albany, New York

I hold a BA in environmental science but I was having trouble getting experience. Its now been about 2 years since I graduated and I would like to learn new skills. If you are a mechanic and need some extra help around the shop on something you can train me on, I would love to help out, even manual labor to be around the shop and doing something related to mechanics. I would like to learn your trade and/or get advice. I have no real understanding of mechanics but I would like to learn while working.
